8 Things To Try At Least Once In Life
Life is so short that you want to do everything that you can in the time you have – there’s no way to tell how much of it you have left. Packing as many activities that you want to do in life into your days and weeks is how you grow, learn and make some epic memories. But is it morbid to have a list of things to do before you die? Is it weird to have a bucket list before you ever hit the privilege of retirement age?
Absolutely not!
That is the whole reason why we have created The Bucket List Project! This whole website is devoted to tackling things before you die. But we understand that it may be hard for some people to figure out where to start. So, we’re going to share a simple list of 8 things that you should make room to try at least once in life before you die.
So grab your Bucket List Journal, a good pen, & let’s dive right into it!
Life is so short! So now is the time to pack in as many things you want to do before you die! But if you dont know where to start, then discover 8 simple ideas to begin your #bucketlist! Click To Tweet8 Things to do Before You Die
- Camp Under The Stars: Take a tent and some camping equipment, and go under the stars in the wilderness. You can glamp if you prefer, but you should always try to camp under the stars at least once before you die!
- Try To Volunteer: You may well be a very giving person, but that doesn’t mean you have spent time volunteering for those who are less fortunate than you are. Working as a volunteer is very rewarding, and you will have a chance to be more humble, too.
- Get Out And Fish: Have you ever gone fishing before? Perhaps now is the time to give it a go! Learning how to start catching trout in a pond may sound like an odd thing to master before you die, but it’s going to help you to gain some new skills and it could lead to a hobby. Learning to fish is a skill that not many people master, so once you do it, you will nail it!
- Travel: Wherever you go in life, make room to travel. Make a list of countries or cities you want to visit and make a point of spending time in every single one. Weekends away in Rome and two-week stays in Florida are just two things that should be on your travel menu!
- Hiking: Have you ever gone hiking in the mountains? Gearing up and heading out with a group of people of similar age is so much fun. So, you shouldn’t underestimate it! Hiking can offer you an experience like no other.
- Scuba Dive: Be one with the fishes, and not in the Godfather sense! You can dive into one of the world’s greatest unknowns. Here you will see some of the sea creatures and plant life that you cannot see above the surface. You can explore with so many people around the world and you get to see so many new things!
- Take A Cooking Class: You could be an excellent cook, but that doesn’t mean that you know how to cook every cuisine. Go and book a cooking class with an expert and learn how to cook while they cook. If you love Italian, then go and learn how to make the perfect gnocchi!
- Challenge Yourself: If you are afraid of heights, go and climb a mountain. If you hate flying, get a long-haul ticket somewhere exotic. Challenge your fears and overcome them while you have the time to do it.
What’s on Your List?
As you can see we love making lists, especially for the Bucket List Project! But what one of the things we love even more is to hear what exactly is on your list of things to do before you die! It doesn’t matter if it is a wild, adrenaline filled adventure or a personal item on your Personal Growth Bucket List, we love hearing about it.

I was interested to see what might be on your list of things you must try at least once. I am sure over the years I have written a thing or two on one of those boards. I keep knocking them off and adding new ones. Although I really am not a camper, the idea of camping out in a spot with a clear night sky sounds like a perfect one for my list. But fishing would definitely not be on my list!
