Gift Guide for the Female Traveler
Admittedly, we women can be hard to shop for. Unless the woman in your life is willing to give you a detailed list of what she wants and where to get it, she’s likely to be disappointed with at least one gift this year. We are complex, with a wide range of interests and hobbies. Those of us who are working to tick specific items off our bucket lists can be even harder to shop for – especially if it isn’t in the budget to buy a ticket around the world or even a weekend getaway. Times are tough right now and our priorities change, but I think our list will make it easier to find a gift for women of all ages and at every price point. Whether you are looking to find the best travel gifts for her or a way to help the lady in your life learn a new skill or fine tune a hobby, you’ll find it here!

This is an awesome list! I’ll be sending to my boyfriend in hopes of getting something off of this list!
Awesome, Hopefully he does better than I do cause I am often a disaster with Darcee’s Christmas Gifts!
As a female traveller, I would enjoy the Priority Pass gift the most. Such a great idea; I never thought of those as a gift ever. There’s been a couple times where a nice hot shower while stuck at an airport and a comfortable chair to recline in probably kept me sane. Brilliant idea!
Yeah, if you love traveling that you don’t mind hanging out in Airports, but why not do it in style? Darcee, my wife is very modest in her travel style but sometimes it is awesome when I get to spoil her with an upgrade like a cool airport lounge with the cocktails, great food, and comfy seats!
Such awesome list and yes, some women can be difficult to please. I particularly love number 7, 8 and 15. Just anything ease my stress. Haha! Nice one.
This is by far the best gift guide for travel lovers I’ve read. You’ve really considered all the details into making this list. I would love the toiletry bag, keyboard, packing cubes and the babbel subscription! Really awesome ideas any woman would love.
Your ideas are so good for the gifts. I actually loved gift idea 3, 6 and 8. And I guess any lady would love it…
Great list. This gives me ideas what to give to my traveling friends this season. Thanks!
You have some beautiful items here on the list, I love the pushpin globe and the scratch-off map. We aren’t currently travelling as much as we would like to, so my husband and I have been reflecting on our travels as a way of carrying ourselves over until restrictions are lifted once again. Both of these would fit into our home beautifully!
You really took your time to array the thoughtful gift suggestions. You are kind. Gifting her with a photography course in Udemy is a nice one.
I do need new toiletry bag and bags for my packed items especially for shoes (mine look 100 years old) great list!
My friends and family actually say it’s not hard to buy for me because I live my life online so it’s very easy to know WHAT I like buuuut I own way too much stuff so there’s a very good chance they’ll get me things I’ll already have, so they usually just give me money or gift cards just to be safe 😅😂 The 1000 Places to See Before You Die book sounds really interesting! I’m always wondering where in the world I haven’t even heard of that I should visit someday – even though my “to visit” list is way too long as it is!
This is such a cool list. Packing cubes have been a game changer for me. Everyone who travels should get them! I’ve never heard of the Trekking the World game, but it sounds like lots of fun. Thanks for the recommendation. 🙂
Yeah we love Trekking the World board game! It is tons of fun for anyone who ever wants to come over and play! So, Darcee loves her packing cubes too though I am more of a Compression vacuum bag kind of guy. Perhaps that is why her clothes always look neat when we travel while I look like a wrinkled mess!
This is a very well thought post. Quite diverse options and almost covered everything.
Thanks!
So many great ideas for gifts, some are can also be the perfect gift for guys! 🙂 I know I’d be happy to receive the globe, the map, or the book.
Haha, yeah, I told Darcee that too! I know she made this gift guide for the female traveler, but I want half of these things she found too!
This is such a great list of ideas, I wouldn’t know which to choose from. I definitely found some ideas I would love to get myself, such as the trekking the world game and the scratch off map, but also have some ideas for others I have to buy for. I love the practical ideas like the toiletry hanging bag. That would come in handy!
Yeah, Trekking the World Board Game seems to be the biggest hit this year for Female and Male travelers alike followed by perhaps the Scratch Off Travel Tracker Maps from Landmass!
I love that you included help her to learn a language (although that would be a fab gift for travel-loving blokes too!) It’s always cool to see gifts of experiences along with the more obvious things. 😀
Great list Eric – I’d be happy with one of each.
Haha, thanks Josy! Yeah, I agree that I would rather experiences over most toys any day! A few years ago, my cousin got me a subscription to Babbel for Christmas to help me learn Spanish & I have to say I LOVE IT!
We are planning to learn Spanish and have not yet found a software that we both like and found effective. We have not tried Babbel. Have you and, if so, how did you like it?
As with all tools, you have to be committed to use Babbel. What I do like is that there is so many activities and things to do to reinforce what you have learned with Babbel! Plus I love that you can have it on your laptop for formal learning. Then if you are sitting around with your phone, I just hop on and play one of their games, watch one of their funny videos, or even take another lesson to reinforce my learning!
Really great round up gift ideas. I love how practical they all are! Also, now I really really want that keyboard decal!
Isnt that world map Keyboard Decal Cool!
One of the most challenging tasks is not buying a gift for a woman but buying a gift which she is happy and satisfied with. In such a situation, your post is a true lifesaver with some really out of the box suggestions.
Haha, no doubt. I buy plenty of gifts for Darcee but it is when I see her face light up after opening the present as if I actually found the Holy Grail for her, then I know this was a great gift for her!
I don’t even have a baby and I want that bag! I’m all about organizing and that bag has so many useful compartments. Great list !!
Haha, I agree that the Baby Bag looks totally cool. However, if you need a great one bag travel system, you should check out the awesome bag from Journey System that we now use too! It is perfect for me cause I am a list guy who needs to check off things and keep organized cause I love traveling as a minimalist.
These are great gift ideas! I love the idea of enrolling my sister and me in a photography class. Not only it is essential in her travels but these are life skills that are very important in the digital age. Thank you for sharing this.
I know the Photography class is perhaps one of Darcee’s favorite classes we got her this past year. She has a fancy camera and they class helps her learn how to use it better and capture some amazing photos!
as someone who travels quite a lot, I would appreciate items 1 to 12. I think especially when it comes to the packing stuff this would be really helpful for me as a female traveler.
These are all wonderful suggestions and great for one of my friends. She’d really love that light weight jacket.
Yeah, Darcee is from Wyoming so she knows cold but they also know how to dress properly for different aspects of the Cold. Thus, she was super stoked when she found that light weight jacket!
Men, more often than not get it wrong, when selecting a gift for a woman. Hence this is definitely a ready-reckoner of sorts for buying a gift for women. More so, loving the fact that all the gifts are related to travel. Priority Pass, Packing Cubes are some of the favourites. The other one that had my attention was the Trekking The World Game.
I’m all for learning a foreign language and planning a bucket list adventure…especially if they’re all being paid for. Lol.
Yeah the classes with Babbel are amazing & so cheap too!
I like a lot of these ideas. The colouring books are great as you can toss them as you go (to lighten the load).
I agree, Nothing more fun & stress relieving than finishing up coloring then ripping it out and throwing it in the recycle bin or hanging it on the fridge!
Wow, I wanted so many items which you have mentioned. I opted for Duolingo rather than babble but can check that too. I loved the organizer kit, which looked like a laptop bag, and is pretty neat. I especially loved the fact that spillage is close to nil. This is well compiled list.
I think I am going to buy the Trekking game for my kids for Christmas. We are big game night people and have a hard time finding one everyone likes. I will use your Amazon link too, of course.
Yeah the Trekking Around the World Board Game is a big hit around our house! That and dominoes are the ultimate games for having friends over these days!
Babel looks like a great app for travelers. I also recommend Udemy courses; I have found them to be high quality!
No doubt the classes at Udemy are amazing. I have had friends learn how to play the guitar, take up yoga, or master their camera in a photography class. Plus there are like a million other classes for whatever is on your personal growth bucket list!
Staying organised and learning the language of where you are going have got to be two of the most important – and stressful – parts about travelling, for sure! I think any gifts that help ease those worries would be gratefully appreciated by anyone who received them. I also think a scratch off map sounds like so much fun! ☺️
Yeah, I am much more of a free spirited traveler but Darcee gets a bit stressed when needing to pack the day before. So she loves all the tools to help her stay more organized while not messing up her clothes or gear.
Packing cubes made every trip better – whether it is an overnight camping trip or a three week trip to Europe! Great suggestion!
I have a scratch off map and I absolutely love it! It’s so fun. That push pin globe is so cool! 😍
This gift list was so exciting! Some of these things I didn’t know existed, but they are definitely going on my Christmas list. The pin globe and scratch off maps are my favorites, but I want the subscription to Babbel too.
Yeah we love Babbel! Plus they are having an amazing deal going on so you can get a lot out of your subscription! Plus, what I love is that they often check in to make sure you are using all of their resources which is a great reminder to use them.
We are both really hard to buy for. So always looking for interesting ideas. I just loved that map for my MacBook. This would be a great addition to the massive underwater scene on the mouse pad that sits under my keyboard and mouse. We have looked at different maps to track our travels. Definitely a bonus when they are great looking like the Landmass one. Maybe some new suggestions to give to David for my gift list.
Haha, I think David got off easy this year. I hope he sends Darcee a thank you card! But seriously, the travel tracker scratch off maps from Landmass are amazing and so much fun.
