Getting Paid to Travel the World

Getting Paid to Travel the World

Travel is a brilliant thing. It can enrich your life, change your outlook, give you a great chance to meet new people and experience different cultures. It can help you to grow as a person, give you new experiences and teach you new skills. There’s no doubt that travelling is fantastic, and it’s certainly something that we should all try to do as much as we can. But, it’s surprising how many people miss out on the massive world around them, instead spending their whole life in their own tiny bit of it. Missing out on the beauty, the friendship, the experience and the culture. Two of the main reasons for this are financial concerns and being tied to other responsibilities. Travelling can be done on a budget, sure, but it still costs money, and even before you are tied down to a spouse and kids, taking long periods of time off work can be tough, and even if you can, it can make your financial outlook even worse.

One way to get around this, and get all of the joys of seeing the world without having to worry about money is getting paid to travel. Finding a job, or even a career that allows you to travel, and see new places while also getting paid and gaining valuable work experience can be the perfect solution. Here are some of the best ways to do it.

There's no doubt travelling is fantastic but it still costs money! That's why a job where you can travel & also get paid may be ideal! Check out ways for getting paid to travel the world! #GetPaidtoTravel #TravelJobs #WorkRemotely Click To Tweet

Start a Travel Blog

Working as a blogger is a fantastic way to earn money and see the world. It also means that you can work flexibly, in your own time, and go wherever you want, sharing your experiences and advice with your readers. Eventually, you can earn a very successful income as a travel blogger.

But, it does take time to build the following that you need to earn well. To start with, your blog will be small, you’ll struggle to get views, and you won’t be able to earn enough to support your lifestyle. If you want to travel as a travel blogger, you’ll either need to stay home until you start to get offers of work or get another job while your blog picks up.

Work with an Airline

Years ago, there was nothing more glamorous than working with an airline. Pilots and other plane staff walked through the airport in their uniforms attracting admiring glances from passengers. Things have changed somewhat. Air travel is now much more readily available, and there are many budget airlines out there, flying every day. This also means that stop-offs are shorter, and life as a flight attendant or pilot means that you see little more than the inside of a hotel room or plane.

But, it’s not all like that. Work for a private jet club, and you’ll still get all the perks of airline glamour, and get to see a lot more of the world.

Teach English

Teaching English is a fantastic way to see some more unusual parts of the world while earning money and gaining what could be valuable teaching experience. You’ll be working at least part of the time, but you’ll get days off to spend as you wish. Teaching placements often mean staying with a group of other English teachers, which can give you a great chance to meet friends from all over the world.

English is fast becoming a universal language, and most countries will pay you to teach as long as you are a native English speaker, even without any formal qualifications or teaching experience.

Freelancing

Freelancing, like blogging, is an excellent way to travel the world, while working flexibly. You can live off your savings as much as possible, and just accept freelance gigs when you need some extra cash, or if you want to extend your travels. Take a laptop and make sure you can get internet access and you are good to go. You could earn money as a freelancer writing, designing, taking photographs, editing and more, just have a think about what you are good at and what other people would be willing to pay for.

Bar Work

Many travelers at some point turn to short-term bar work to improve their financial situation or fund further travels. You don’t need experience or training, and there are bars all over the world looking for keen staff. You could just work evenings or weekends, and bar work can be really good fun.

Work Remotely

Now you can get online practically anywhere, you might even be able to keep doing your current job, remotely from the other side of the world. Speak to your boss and explore your options.
