Making Amends – A Lesson in Humility & Forgiveness

Welcome to the Hardest List & most personal list of The Bucket List Project: The Making Amends Bucket List!

I am sure there are countless mistakes I have made in my life…probably as many as there are stars in the sky.  But we all make mistakes and sometimes those mistake truly hurt people I know & care about deeply. Plus, asking for forgiveness is hard. But, leaving scars on the hearts of those we claim we love is harder. Therefore, I have to try!

That is why I created the Making Amends Bucket List. I am sure there are tons of people that I could easily add to this list. But below, I listed a few that have made my heart heavy when I think of them. For me, I just know that I don’t want to leave this world without telling these people, “I am Sorry!” and “I Love You!”

Now I know that “completing” the making amends bucket list is not ultimately up to me like the Helping Others Bucket List or other lists. People don’t owe me forgiveness! But, hopefully, I will find a way to try to mend, repair, and perhaps even be blessed to find a way to make amends!
