People often seemed shocked when we share how much we love taking cruises. Perhaps it is because we often go on wild adventures where we race tuk tuks across India on the Rickshaw Run or swim in Mud Volcanos. But from time to time, we also go on a cruise adventure that allows us to explore unique destinations. These trips allow us to have bucket list type cruise adventure that allows us to tick off another item from our Adventure & Experiences list. Day 1 – San Jose del Cabo / La Paz
After arriving at Los Cabos International Airport in in San José del Cabo where you will be transferred to the embarkation area where the cruise staff will greet you. After you get settled into your cabin, the captain and crew welcome you aboard just in time for a cocktail and dinner with other Baja Cruise passengers.
Day 2 – Isla San Francisco
Today is a play on the beach kind of day. If you have Stand-Up Paddle Boarding on your bucket list, you can finally tick it off your list as you paddle amid the red bluffs of Baja California. But if you feel a little jet lagged, dont worry, you can simply relax on the beach beneath the warmth of the sun & recharge.
Day 3 – Bahia Agua Verde
Here is a perfect place to start looking for birds, seals, dolphins, and whales. But if you are looking for a bit more activity, take a mule ride through the canyons and mountains along the clear waters of the Sea of Cortez. Then at the end of your ride, you can visit with a local ranchero and his family as you learn about life in the Baja.
Day 4 – Isla Coronado/Loreto Town
There is just something about blue footed boobies, sea lions, & dolphins that make the kid inside of us all smile. So, get ready to work those face muscles cause on the beaches of Isla Coronado you will find them playing about. Feel free to relax on the beach or spend your time snorkeling amid beautiful blue waters.
Afterwards, you will have the option to explore either Puerto Escondido or Loreto Town. Both of these towns offer charm and a rich history unique to Baja California.
Day 5 – Baja California Whale Watching
Grab your binoculars and your cameras because today is the day to try to see WHALES! Depending on the season you take your cruise adventure, you can find some of greatest whale species in the world in the Sea of Cortez. From the large gray whales in the winter to possibly seeing whale sharks in the spring, you won’t be disappointed. Plus, if you are lucky, you might even catch the largest baleen whales in the world.
Day 6 – Los Islotes / Isla Partida
Time to get in the water. In Los Islotes, you can snorkel and play with young sea lion pups. But if snorkeling is not your thing or if the water is a bit too cold for you don’t fret. In Isla Partida you can get on top of the water by working on your kayaking, or stand-up paddle boarding skills again.
For those of you who want a day getting your land legs back in shape, there are also plenty of island hikes along the beaches and alcoves. Or you can simply sit back on the sand and just chill enjoying the beautiful landscapes around you.
Day 7 – Isla San Jose, Evaristo, or Nopolo
Time to decompress. Today is all about relaxing as lay about on the warm sandy beaches or take a stroll while reflecting on the beauty this Baja Cruise has revealed to you. Of course, if you still have some energy, you can always go exploring via kayak or take a hike amid the red rock of the secluded coves.
Later that night, your cruise staff will share a special Farewell Dinner with you along an entertaining slideshow of your amazing Sea of Cortez Cruise.
Day 8 – San Jose del Cabo
After an amazing Bucket List Cruise, you will be treated with a final breakfast and transferred back to San José del Cabo for your flight.
