Totally agree with visiting a dentist, especially before longer trips away from home. If they uncover any issues that might cause a bigger problem, we can ensure it is either fixed before leaving if time permits, or at least know what to do if needed (and I say this from experience:)). Yeah there is nothing worse than needing dental or medical care for pain or sickness while traveling. That is why we strongly insist not only on visiting your Dentist before you travel but getting a check up with your doctor and stopping by the pharmacist to resupply your medications.
